Anything (a poem)

A woman and a man, wearing lightweight robes, reach out to take each other's hands.

I saw what you did.
I heard what you said.
I was there.
You can tell me anything.

I know how it hurt.
I know how you felt.
Let it go.
You can tell me anything.

Open up and share,
all that you have been holding back,
all the things that cause you fear.
The things you dare not say.
Pour your heart out to me.

I designed you, made you.
Who knows you better than I?
Every step I walk beside you,
placed my Spirit inside you.
Walk with me, talk with me.

I see who you are,
and know who you are meant to be.
Let me lead you,
clear the way for you.
Let me guide you.
Take my hand.

Freedom awaits when you trust.
When you lay your burdens on me.
You can tell me anything.
