Someday, Sometime, Somewhere (an anaphoric poem)

Two friends, a ivory-colored, stuffed bunny and brown teddy bear, sit on the shore beside the still waters of a forest lake, dreaming and remembering. Viewed from behind, the bear has his left arm lovingly wrapped around his friend's shoulders.

(TW: Death)

Someday, you may have to say goodbye,
as I lie in a bed,
in my coffin,
or my grave.

Sometime in the future, near or far, I’ll be gone.
Gone from this place,
from your sight,
from this life.

Somewhere you will sit alone and remember,
the good times,
the hard days,
and me.

Somehow you will get through it all,
the grief,
the regrets,
life.

Someone will do the same for you,
they’ll miss you,
and hold you
in their heart.

Always.
